Parkland School District’s Education Foundation Board of Directors has elected Joseph M. Goll as president.
Goll, a member of the Parkland community for more than 26 years, is president of SAGE Consulting and Wealth Management.
He is a founding education foundation board member, a member of Rotary International and past president and current secretary of the Allentown West Rotary Club.
Past president of the Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, he is a member of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
A member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall, Goll is past consistory president and current finance committee chairperson.
He was preceded by founding president Buddy Lesavoy of Lesavoy Butz and Seitz LLC.
Under Lesavoy’s leadership, the foundation gave back more than $500,000 to the school district in four years.
Also during the Aug. 20 meeting, Dr. Kimberly Legg Corba of Green Hills Family Health Care was elected secretary, and photographer, Frank Mitman of South Whitehall was re-elected vice president.
The board also acknowledged board member Robert Heintzelman of Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville, and Suzy Harris of Muhlenberg College, Allentown, for their four-year tenure and service to the foundation.
Education Foundation Director Kate Kareha commented on Lesavoy’s term in office and on Goll’s qualities.
“We are sincerely grateful for Buddy’s leadership these last four years,” Kareha said. “He has been a true ambassador of the district.
“Joe brings wisdom, experience and vision to the foundation to continue its mission as the foundation begins its fifth year.
“Dr. Corba and Frank Mitman have a special connection with the families and children of Parkland as well.
“We look forward to their leadership and dedication to move our board forward.”
The Parkland education foundation, started in 2011, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization, which raises funds “to enhance the excellent academic, arts and athletic programs in the district” for the benefit of students, staff and community residents.
