Douglas A. Boyer, 73, of Macungie, died Aug. 26, 2015, at his home. He was the husband of Linda F. (Rauch) Boyer. They were married 49 years. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of Earl L. Boyer and Mary (Drey) Bauer.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Cuban Crisis.
He was a member of the Hereford Gun Club where he was the lead grounds keeper and chief of security.
He was a truck driver his entire life and retired from McGovern Environmental.
He enjoyed deep sea fishing and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Stephanie Radcliffe, of Barto and Marcy Stoudt, of Pottstown; sister, Veronica Schuler; brothers, Larry, Charles Bauer, Jr. and Linwood Bauer; grandchildren, Zachary, Nathan, Isaac and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Emmalynn, Nathan Jr., Lily, and Jameson. He is predeceased by his parents, stepfather, Charles Bauer, Sr. and sisters, Sandra Grim and Joan Hildenbrand.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Hereford Gun Club, 91 Gun Club Road, Barto.
The Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Gilbertsville, is in charge of arrangements.
