Roger A. Gogle Sr.

Roger A. Gogle Sr., 78, of Coplay, died Aug. 13, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Allentown. He was the husband of Amelia (Lotti) Gogle for 60 years.

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Allen W. and Evelyn (Marsh) Gogle.

He worked for the Overlook Orchards, North Whitehall Township, for 32 years before he retired in 2000. He owned and operated Roger's Country Store, Laurys Station, from 1978 to 1983.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Laurys Station, where he formerly was on church council.

He was a life member of the Laurys Station Volunteer Fire Company and was a long time supporter of the Laurys Station Athletic Association. He was a former coach of boys baseball and girls softball. He was a member of the St. John's UCC bowlers and of the Keenagers.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Roger A. Jr. and his wife Julia of Coplay and Ronald A. and his wife Susan of Rochester, N.Y.; a brother, Richard D. Gogle of Coplay; and three grandchildren, Timothy, Jennifer, and Amanda.
