William Wenz Binder

William Wenz Binder, 67, of Coopersburg, died Aug. 6, 2015, while swimming at the Rodale Aquatic Center at Cedar Crest College. He was the husband of Arabella Binder for 41 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Paul and Esther (Wenz) Binder.

He was a 1965 graduate of William Allen High School. He studied finance at Norman Park and graduated from Valdosta State University, Georgia.

He was the secretary and salesperson for the family business, Wenz Company, Allentown, for more than 35 years until he retired in 2007. He and his wife ran Binder Apartments.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Allentown, where he served on the property committee.

He was a member of the Lehigh County Historical Society and a lifetime member of Lehigh Valley Active Life Center, Allentown.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Christina and her husband Oliver "Jay" Sayre of North Catasauqua; four grandchildren, Miranda, Kayla, Alden and Savanna, all of North Catasauqua; two sisters, Kay and her husband Joseph Berghold of Lodi, Calif., and Sandra and her husband Joseph Stanton of Breinigsville; brothers, Earl and his wife Amy and Paul Jr. and his wife Sharon of Breinigsville; a niece, Lori and her husband Michael Csencsitz of Bethlehem; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation beginning at 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m., both Aug. 13 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Hamilton St., Allentown, 18102.
