SEARCH students celebrate graduation
Daniel Fogelman of Breinigsville and Justin Buterbaugh were two of the students in Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network's Project SEARCH program to graduate recently during a ceremony at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall.
Fogelman, a student in the Parkland School District, was one eight Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network interns.
Buterbaugh, also a Parkland School District resident, was one of five Lehigh County Cedarbrook Nursing Home interns honored at the event.
Project SEARCH helps students with various disabilities learn job-related and self-advocacy skills in a nine-month job program which then places the students in various jobs at Good Shepherd's Allentown Campus and Lehigh County's Cedarbrook Nursing Home.
Participants gain real world experience and the skills they need to become valued employees for local businesses and organizations.
