LCTI students honored
Before the end of the school year, Parkland School Board recognized 15 Lehigh Career and Technical Institute State Winners headed to national competition.
District Superintendant Richard Sniscak introduced Sandy Himes, executive director of LCTI ,who presented the honorees.
These Parkland students have excelled in their curriculum at LCTI, representing their schools at the state level and moving forward to national competitions.
They will travel to locations such as Louisville, Ky. and Anaheim, Calif., to compete in their respective fields.
The students received a certificate of recognition and a Parkland Trojans beach towel along with the support of the district, the board and their community.
The following students were presented with the awards at the ceremony: Londynn Jones, second place DECA Chapter Awards Project; Tyler Young, second place FBLA Client Service competition; Antonella Di Stefano, second place FCCLA Culinary Arts; Mckenzie Alvarez, second place FCCLA Culinary Math; Elayne Bodisch, second place HOSA Career Health Poster; Maya Sheed, second place FCCLA Culinary Arts'Anthony Sorrentino, second place FCCLA Culinary Arts; Brian Romig, first place Skills USA Automotive Service Technology; Marissa Kula, first place HOSA Creative Problem Solving.
Also introduced at the recognition ceremony, but unable to attend were: Alayna Koch, fourth place HOSA Career Health Display; Nathalie Lalande, first place DECA School Based Enterprise Retail; Cheyenne Fenstermaker, first place DECA Material Handling/Logistics; Keri Weigman, fourth place HOSA Career Health Display; Mason Rumble, first place Skills USA Welding and Chris Droney, first place FBLA Computer Problem Solving.
