Carol Phoebe DeLong, 89, of Macungie, died Aug. 6, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Warren A. DeLong. Born in Macungie, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Rachael (Muth) Shoemaker.

She was a graduate of Emmaus High School and a lifelong member of Solomon's U.C.C., Macungie.

She was proud to be employed in food service at the William A. Shoemaker Elementary School, Macungie, named after her father, The Honorable William A. Shoemaker.

She is survived by children, Michael and his wife, Shirley, Cathy and her husband Jeff Yeakel and Douglas and his wife, Justine; grandchildren, Shawn and Taylor Yeakel, David Mertz and Kristen Hoffman; sister, Sylvia Hagenbuch.

Contributions may be made in her name to Solomon's U.C.C. Memorial Fund, 82 S. Church St., Macungie, 18062.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Aug. 12, at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A calling hour will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 12 in the funeral home.
