William "Bill" A. Wittman, 77, of North Catasauqua, died July 30, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown. He was the husband of Nancy R. (Rhoades) Wittman for 53 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harry and Mary (Davis) Wittman.

He was a 1956 graduate of Catasauqua High School.

He was a machine operator for Mail Well, formerly Boise Cascade, for 35 years until he retired.

He was a member of Porter Lodge 284 F&AM, Catasauqua; the Porter Club; and the Lehigh Consistory. He was on the North Catasauqua zoning board and the Catasauqua School Board. He was a lifetime member of the Charotin Fire Company. He was active with the midget wresting program in Catasauqua.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Wendy and her husband David Burcaw of Moore Towship; two sons, William A. II and his wife Patricia of Kempton and Scott of North Catasauqua; a sister, Bonnie Fisher; and seven grandchildren, Shawn, Clayton, Sarah, Shayna, Jacob, Rachel and Grace.

He was predeceased by a brother, Bruce.
