Howard P. Ruch

Howard P. Ruch, 92, of Country Meadows, Allentown, formerly of Macungie, died July 23, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth J. (Schlough) Ruch.

He worked as a material inspector at Mack Trucks for 44 years, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Allentown.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp.

He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Saw Creek Hunting and Fish Association in Pike County.

He is survived by a son, Paul H., of Zionsville; daughter, Noreen E. and her husband Dane E. Clark, of Allentown; brother, Titus, of Blandon; sisters, Eleanor Scheirer, of Allentown, Oneida Wagner, of Doylestown, Diane Vining, of Maryland; three grandchildren, Matthew, Marcus and Stefanie. He was predeceased by a brother, Harold and sister, Anna.

Services will be held 2 p.m. July 29 at the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. A calling period will be held 1 p.m. until time of service.
