Julius W. Dorner

Julius W. Dorner, 79, of Coplay, died July 15, 2015, at home. He was the husband of Joan L. (Wechsler) Dorner for 58 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Stephen and Mary (Paukovits) Dorner.

He was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He worked for Tarkett Manufacturing, Coplay Cement Company, and then retired from LaFarge Company.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay.

He was a member of the Coplay American Legion Post 426.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Monica and her husband David Unangst of Slatington; Lisa and her husband Terry Rex of Coplay; Mark and his wife Patie of Whitehall; Lydia and her husband Jerry Carl of Walnutport; and Matthew and his wife Saneeta of Whitehall; 12 grandchildren; Gerard, Kiel, Chris, Alyssa, T.J., Travis, Alex, Ava, Derek, Mitchell, Timmy and Shalini; four great-grandchildren, Julius, Augie, Ayden and Camdyn; two sisters, Elizabeth Soltis and Hermina Dorner; and two brothers, Edward and William.

He was predeceased by 10 siblngs.
