Catherine Wolfel, 63, of Lower Nazareth Township, died July 19, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Richard Wolfel Sr. for 44 years.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Slanovits) Kulovits.
She was a 1969 Whitehall High School graduate and a 1987 magna cum laude University of Akron graduate where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology.
She was an account specialist for the Guardian Life Insurance Company, Bethlehem for 21 years until she retired in 2012.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Bath.
She was active for many years with the Safari Club International, Lehigh Valley Chapter.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Dr. Richard L. Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Nazareth; two grandsons, Noah and Lucas Wolfel; two step-grandsons, Hunter and Max Zellers; two nieces; and four nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Rita Lubenesky.
There will be a calling time from 6-8 p.m., followed by a service at 8 p.m., both July 24 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
