Albert G. Schisler, 89, of North-ampton, died July 17, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Inpatient Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Charlotte R. (Unangst) Schisler.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Albert F. and Ruth E. (Young) Schisler.

He was a 1944 Northampton High School graduate.

During World War II, he was an airplane mechanic in Newark, N.J. He then was an oil burner/heater service manager for the former Quality Service Station, North-ampton. He later worked in the same capacity for the Harned Durham Oil Company, Emmaus, and Dual-Temp/Holtzman Fuel Oil Company.

He was a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Northampton, where he was a choir member for many years, served on church council, and volunteered on Boy Scout Committee-Troop 26.

He was a member of Blue Heron Development Company, Pike County, and was on the board of directors. He was a member and past president of the National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers, Lehigh Valley Chapter. He was a past master of Chapman Lodge 637, F. & A.M., and was a life member for more than 60 years; and a member of Siegfried Royal Arch Chapter 295 Master of 1st Vale for more than 50 years, both of North Catasauqua; and a member of the Rajah Shriners, Blandon.

He is survived by two daughters, Carol J. Reed of Greensboro, N.C. and Gail S. of Oak Creek, Colo.; a brother, Dr. Lee. C. and his wife Lois Schisler of State College; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia A. Felcin.

There will be visitation hours from 7-8:30 p.m. July 23, and from 10-11 a.m. July 24 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067. There will be a service 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, 1904 Main St., Northampton, 18067.
