Nicholson H. Griggs, 79, of Macungie, died July 14, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Suzanna (Bolis) Griggs. Born in Manhattan, he was a son of the late Theodore Jr. and Doris (Hunter) Griggs.

He co-owned a dental lab and trained race horses.

He was a champion trap shooter, jockey, bagpiper and fly fisherman.

He was a member of Grace Community Church, Allentown.

He is survived by his wife; son, William; brother, Dr. Theodore III; sister, Mary Lindsay Mitchell; grandson, Tyler Anthony. He was predeceased by his previous wife Barbara Richter and a brother Paul Clement.
