Elmer H. Reith, 83, of Lower Milford Township, died in his home July 14, 2015. He was the husband of the late Dolores (Moyer) Reith who died in 2014. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Marcus and Eva (Stortz) Reith.
He was a member of Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Emmaus.
He was employed at Alpo Pet Products as a mechanical maintenance foreman. He retired after 38 years of dedicated employment.
He was a volunteer at Thousand Trails Campground, Hershey and with the Lower Milford Fire Department.
He is survived by children, Barry L. and his wife, Laurie, of Palmyra, Eva R., of Coopersburg, Evette R. and her husband Steve Smith, of Mayville, N.Y.; son-in-law, Bob Mirth and his wife Marge, of Quakertown; sisters, Eva Lampe and May Knappenberger; brothers, Frank and William; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Ann Mirth, in 2006; twin grandchildren, Christopher and Jody Hetrick, in 1974; brothers, Howard, Milton, Ralph and Roland; sister, Beatrice Danenhower.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Hospice, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem, 18017, or to the church.
Services will be held 1 p.m. July 25, at Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. July 25 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
