James J. Williams, 92, of North-ampton, died July 2, 2015, at VNA Hospice House at St. Luke's, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Christine M. (Gardner) Williams.

Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Thomas Williams and the late Stella (Kressly) Williams.

He was a private in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was an auto mechanic for Sears Automotive Center, Whitehall, until he retired in 1984.

He attended Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Northampton.

He is survived by two brothers, William and his wife Eleanor, and Richard "Dicky" and his wife Joyce, both of New Tripoli; two sisters, Arlene and her husband Nevin Dietrich of New Tripoli and June Oswald of Schnecksville; a grandson, Eric Hendricks of Somerville, N.J.; and a great-granddaughter, Paige Hendricks.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Diane Hendricks; three brothers, Walter, Paul and Ralph; and two sisters, Dorothy Martin and Mary Semmel.
