William "Bill" Keeler Somers, 85, of Allentown, died July 1, 2015, in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Barbara (Funk) Somers. They celebrated 56 years of marriage last September. Born in Warren County, N.J. and raised in Easton, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Keeler) Somers.

A 1948 graduate of Easton High School, he continued his education at Lafayette College and Carnegie Mellon University.

He became a dedicated employee of Air Products for 37 years, retiring in 1995.

He was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown and a member of its chancel choir for over 45 years.

He enjoyed golfing and swimming and was a faithful fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Penn State Nittany Lions and his beloved Lafayette Leopards. He enjoyed playing bridge with his wife and their friends.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Patricia S. and her husband Michael Lisetski, of Upper Macungie Township, Anne S. and her husband Rich Ferrera, of Lower Macungie Township, Susan L. and her husband Chris Mauser, of Salisbury Township; sister, Sally S. Heck, of Easton; grandchildren, Nick, Stephen, Drew, Paul, Erik, Sage and Mark. He was predeceased by siblings Trudy Hepp, Mary Kenney and Jim.

Contributions may be made in his name to the music program at the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. July 10 in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 3231 W. Tilghman St., Allentown. Call 10 to 11 a.m. July 10 in the church. Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
