Herbert M. Breitfeld Jr., 67, of West Catasauqua, died June 26, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Dolores M. (Brezina) Breitfeld for 48 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Herbert M. Sr. and Mildred P. (Kratzer) Breitfeld.

He was a co-owner of Milson's Notary, Whitehall. He was an electronics technician for many years for First Energy, formerly Met-Ed, until he retired. Prior to that, he worked for Western Union. He taught residential wiring at Lehigh Carbon Community College.

He was a volunteer fireman for many years with the West Catasauqua Fire Department.

He was a lifetime member of the West Catasauqua and Fullerton fire companies and of the Coplay Saengerbund. During his late teens and 20s, he played guitar for The Shadows band.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey M. Sr. and his wife Lainie; a daughter, Denise; three grandsons, Jeffrey M. Jr. and Andrew T. Breitfeld and Logan Wallander; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Jonathan T. Breitfeld.
