Elaine J. Schaffer, 76, of Salisbury Township, died June 23, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Kenneth C. Schaffer, who died Sept. 13, 2000. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late John and Violet (Frantz) Bees.

She worked in the deli department at Giant Food in Whitehall for the past 15 years and previously worked for TAMA Manufacturing and Mary McIntosh.

She was a board member for the VFW Post #13 greater Allentown auxiliary.

She is survived by children, Gary W. and his wife, Susan, of Roseboom, N.Y., Jacqueline and her companion, Paul Koenig, of Allentown, Terry J. and her husband Steve Ackerman, of Zionsville, Annette and her husband Harold Bickley, of Bedminster, Jill D. and her husband Richard Thompson, Jr., of Hellertown and John D., of Greentown; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a friend Kenny Rhode.
