Barbara E. Rice, 76, of Salisbury Township, died June 24, 2015, at her residence. She was the wife of the late David C. Rice who died Dec. 29, 2010. Born in Norton Township, Michigan, she was the daughter of Orval and Agnes (Jedrezak) Welch.

She worked as a sales clerk at the former Woolworth's, Allentown, for 20 years.

She was dedicated to raising her children, and enjoyed gardening, baking and shopping.

She is survived by children, David J. and his wife Erna, of Hellertown, Kathy L. and her husband Ronald R. Wirth, of Allentown, Kristine K. and her husband Randy R. Salerio, of Hellertown, Karen R. Thomas, of Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Debra A. Shannon who died June 11, 2015 and several siblings.
