Bernadine A. Unger, 77, of Whitehall, died June 14, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of John "Sonny" J. Unger for 61 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Kapinsky) Hodge.

She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay, and of its Altar and Rosary Society.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cheryl and her husband Richard Lychak; two sons, John Jr. and his wife Donna and Michael and his wife Erika, all of Slatington; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Shelak and Agnes Altif; and a brother, James Hodge.

Contributions may be made to the church or to the Lehigh Valley Hospice, both c/o the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, 18037.
