Stanley T. Haberle

Stanley T. Haberle, 87, of Allentown, died June 20, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the companion of Ada Yoder. Born in Hatfield, he was the son of the late Titus and Ida (Sell) Haberle.

He worked on an assembly line for Exide Batteries for 30 years. He also worked at the Alburtis Foundry. He was a truck driver for Penske Trucking and drove Leibensberger school bus.

He was a member of the Macungie VFW, Mercantile Club and associate member of the F.O.P.

He honorably served his country in the Navy and Army during World War II and Korea.

He is survived by his companion; daughters, Sheila J. and her husband Jonathan E. Kunkel, of Emmaus and Holly J. Woomer, of Emmaus; grandchildren, Louis C. Roche III, Brooke A. Woomer and Joseph C. Woomer; great-grandson Mason A. Velazquez; brothers, Earl, of Florida and Robert, of Alburtis; sisters, Gladys Hetrich, of Powder Valley and Evelyn Ohl, of Richlandtown. He was predeceased by a son, Gary L.; brothers, Victor and William; sister Violet Dietz.

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. June 26 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
