Members of Deb Andreoli's drivers' education class at Parkland High School were excited to take part in the Pennsylvania Driving Under the Influence Safety Simulator, nicked named the "Safety Bug."
The bug is engineered to demonstrate the loss of control one would experience if operating a motor vehicle in an impaired state.
The program is funded by the "Celebrate My Drive" State Farm $25,000 grant the high school won earlier this year when the teacher, students and the entire Parkland community helped place the school in the Top 100 schools in the nation to pledge support of safe driving via the Celebrate My Drive webpage pledge program.
