Gerald O. Ziegler, 88, formerly of Emmaus, died June 11, 2015, at Liza's House Personal Care Home, Danielsville. He was the husband of the late Betty L. (Bilger) Ziegler. Born in Fogelsville, he was the son of the late Oliver F. and Blanche E. (Lehr) Ziegler.

He worked for C.E. Shearer Plumbing and Heating for 38 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

He was a life member of Fire Co. #1, Emmaus and a 42 year member of the Allen O. Delke Post 16 American Legion, Slatington.

He honorably served his country in the Navy during World War II, serving on the Air Craft Carrier USS Princeton.

He is survived by a son, Dennis G. and his wife Pat, of Walnutport and sister, Janet Bachman, of Schnecksville.
