Firefighters from Lower Milford, Eastern Salisbury, Upper Saucon and Woodlawn and South Whitehall fire companies battle a fire June 3 at 8184 Steinsburg Road, Lower Milford Township. Representatives from HBH Property Services, Jeff Dorwart and Ben Green, owners of the property, arrived at the house 9:35 a.m. prepared to meet the sheriff 10 a.m. to secure the property after taking legal custody of the residence. Upon arrival, Dorwart and Green saw smoke exiting the vents at both ends of the structure. The Lower Milford Fire Department and police department were immediately requested to respond. Lower Milford Police Chief John Dondero entered the structure in search of possible occupants. None were found. Troop M Fire Marshal Unit provided investigative assistance and determined the cause of the structure fire was arson. The investigation is continuing.
