Carl L. Deiter, 83, of Coplay, died May 31, 2015. He was the husband of Anna M. (Stipkovits) Deiter for 62 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Harold and Ida (Michael) Deiter.

He was an army corporal during the Korean War.

He retired, after 40 years of service, from the former Trojan Powder Company, Orefield.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 426, Coplay.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Patricia A. Butz of East Texas, Thomas and his wife Susan of North Catasauqua, and Christine Fernandez of Plant City, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Lauren and Brian Butz.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Harold, Albert, and Edwin.
