George W. Steckel, 56, of Emmaus, died June 7, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Born in South Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Stella V. (Krause) Steckel.

He was employed as a truck driver at Waste Management before retiring.

He was a Catholic.

He is survived by daughters, Christine S. Rodriguez, of Allentown, Jill M. Rodriguez, of Bethlehem; sisters, Bernice S. Gehman and MaryEllen A. Miller, both of Orefield; special buddy, nephew and friend, Tony J. Miller, of Slatington; six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. June 11, in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Family and friends may pay their respects 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 11 in the funeral home.
