William C. Skrapits, 83, formerly of Northampton and of Pocono Lake, died May 17, 2015, at Weatherwood Nursing Home, Weatherly.

He was a son of the late Frank and Anna (Heigli) Skrapits.

He was a 1949 graduate of Northampton High School and a graduate of Dickinson College.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and a Korean War veteran.

He was an appraiser for PennDOT until he retired.

He was a Roman Catholic.

He is survived by three brothers, attorney Frank M. and his wife Jeanette Skrapits of Northampton, Dr. Louis J. and his wife Maryann Skrapits of Wilmington, N.C., and John J. and his wife Barbara Skrapits of Jim Thorpe; and several nieces and nephews.
