Jeffrey D. Rex, 66, of Whitehall, died May 17, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Dawn L. (Kolb) Rex. They were married for 30 years. He was a son of the late Donald J. and Shirley I. (Raudenbush) Rex.

He was a claim examiner for Prudential Insurance Company - AARP Division, Fogelsville, for many years. After retiring, he worked in the lawn and garden department at Sears, Whitehall, until 2011.

He was a member of Calvary Moravian Church, Allentown.

He honorably served in the U.S. Navy Seabees, receiving a Purple Heart during Vietnam.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, mother-in-law, Mildred Kolb of Whitehall, nephew, Lowell Lysinger of Coopersburg and other nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, in care of the funeral home.
