Rose Cherry, 89, of Danielsville, died May 11, 2015, in the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late George J. Cherry who died Dec. 15, 2003. Born in Stiles, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Solderitch) Schadl.

She worked as a presser for the former Cesare's Mill in Danielsville and the Billera Brothers while also functioning as a nanny for the family. She also worked as a cook at the former Schoenersville Inn.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Joanne Klutzaritz, of Walnutport; son, Bernard of Danielsville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank and his wife Mary of Whitehall, Joseph and his wife Francesca of Atlanta, Ga., Alfred of Whitehall; sisters, Josephine Newhard of Warrington, Stella Frassetto of Allentown, Freida and her husband Kenneth Mertz of Allentown and Anna Rechtor of Hokendauqua.

She was predeceased by a brother, Edward.
