Queenship of Mary Church to hold festival
Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., will be holding its parish festival on Sunday, June 7, noon- 7 p.m., on the church grounds.
Ethnic food will be available, including homemade pierogies, longos (fried bread dough) and cabbage and noodles. There will also be hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage sandwiches, turkey barbecues, funnel cakes, french fries, ice cream, sno cones and pizza.
There will be a bake sale in the church social hall.
Entertainment includes deejay Liz Flynn from 12:30 to 3 p.m. and Josef Kroboth Orchestra from 3:30 to 7 p.m.
Children's games will take place in the gymnasium.
There will be a cash raffle and basket raffle.

St. John's Friendly Fifties will meet in the church's social hall on Monday, June 8, 1 p.m.
Ventriloquist Sandy Andy will entertain.

There will be a community yard sale in Northampton on Saturday, June 6, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The event is being held by three nonprofit organizations in Northampton: the Quota Club, the Northampton Area Food Bank and the Northampton Area Historical Society. Each organization will be at a different location.
The Quota Club will be at Canal Park along the Lehigh River. There will be spaces to rent for a fee. To rent a space or for more information, call 610-264-9786.
The food bank will be at its headquarters at 1601 Canal St. Spaces with tables and without tables are available to rent for a fee. Call 610-262-6156 to make a reservation or for more information.
Crafters are also welcome. Donations for the food bank's own table may be dropped off at the food bank on the Wednesday before the sale from 9:30 a.m. until noon.
The historical society will be at its headquarters, the Siegfried Railroad Station, on West 21st Street.
The society will be accepting donations from the public for its sale. Donations may be dropped off at the station on Thursday, June 4, and Friday, June 5, 6-8 p.m. For more information, call 610-262-4748.

The Friends of the Northampton Area Public Library will be running a bus trip to "Art of the Brick" exhibit at Franklin Institute on Friday, June 19.
The ticket price includes the bus, driver's tip and admission to the Franklin Institute. For cost and other information, call the library at 610-262-7537.
The Friends group will be holding a Hampton Lanes fundraiser on Sunday, June 28, 1-3 p.m.
A ticket includes two hours of bowling and shoe rental.

The Northampton Area Public Library will be holding its annual Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 6, 9 a.m.-noon.
There will be sign-ups for summer children's programs, sand art, prizes and Rita's Italian Ice.
The event is free and open to the public.
