Francine "Fran" Casperson, 61, of Northampton died April 22, 2015, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital with her husband at her side. She was the wife of Gary Casperson.

Born in Long Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Royal and Martha (Anderson) Merkel.

She was a legal secretary for the CBS Network for several years.

She is survived by her husband; two nephews; three great-nieces and two great-nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Lorene Merkel.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
