Ian D. Roddick

Ian (Scotty) Roddick, 93, of Macungie, died May 19, 2015, at home surrounded by family and friends Arlene and Maggie. He was the husband of Mary (Graham) Roddick for 71 years. Born in Lockerbie, Scotland, he was predeceased by his mother Ella and brother Alan, both of Brisbane, Australia.

He was co-owner of several senior citizen communities.

He served with the British Army in Northern Africa under General Montgomery during World War II.

He was a 32 degree Masonic member of Lehigh Consistory and a lifetime member of Masonic Lodge 258 Quhytewoollen, Lockerbie Scotland.

He was a lifetime member of The Lockerbie British Legion and The Mercantile Club where he served on the board of directors.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Graham and his wife Jan, and Iain and his wife Robin; five grandchildren, Maureen, Douglas, Brian, Chris and Lisa; five great-grandchildren, Madalyn, Kinley, Damyn, Karlee and Brianna.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. May 30 at the Mercantile Club, 427 Railroad St., Emmaus. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
