Volunteer groups fills snack packs

A group high school students, along with leaders of local organizations recently participated in the last filling of Snack Packs for the 2014-15 school year at Northwestern Lehigh.

The group includes Interact students from Northwestern, C.O.O.L. Kidz from New Life Lutheran Church, leaders from Christ's Church at Lowhill Food Pantry, and Rotarians from the Allentown West-Western Lehigh County Club.

The Rotary Snack Pack Connection program was started in October 2013 in partnership with the food pantry.

Together, they distributed 722 snack packs during the 2013-14 school year, and 1,166 snack packs for the 2014-15 school year.
