Maryrose Paxson, 75, of Allentown, died peacefully May 6, 2015, surrounded by her loving and devoted family in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Boyle) Donahue.
She and her husband Thomas W. Paxson were married 52 years at the time of his death on Feb. 6, 2013.
A very active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown, she was a dedicated parish nurse, and served as the funeral Coordinator.
She loved to be part of the parish festivals, helping with the attic treasures.
A 1958 graduate of Coaldale High School, she proudly attained her license practical nurse degree from the former Lehigh County Community College, now Lehigh Carbon Community College and worked for many years on Neuro Unit 6A at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Her survivors include daughters Kathleen Ann Paxson, wife of Roger Kichline, and Karen Beth, wife of Richard Jennings Jr., all of Allentown; son Thomas F. Paxson and wife, Cindy, of South Whitehall Township; grandchildren Ashley Hennessey and husband, Adam, Melissa Snyder and husband, Ben, Samantha, Daniel and John Jennings; great-grandson Jude Thomas; and nephews Kenneth and Scott Crane.
Arrangements were made by Gilbert Funeral Home, Whitehall.
