Virginia L. Fishburn

Virginia L. (Brehm) Fishburn, 91, of Macungie, formerly of Emmaus, died May 5, 2015, at Lehigh Commons surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Davidson K. Fishburn for 61 years prior to his death in 2003. Born in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Mary M. (Hoch) Brehm.

She was a file clerk at Rodale Press for many years.

She was a charter member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus, where she was a member of the choir and altar guild.

She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and received the Most Hours Volunteered Award in 1998.

She is survived by daughters, Sharon and her husband Charles Koehler, of Emmaus, Patricia and her husband Joel Sencer, of Ocala, Fla. and Trudy and her husband E. Glenn Kleppinger, of Emmaus; brother, Donald J. Brehm, of Carlisle; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Contributions may be made in her name to a charity of choice.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30 a.m. May 16 in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus. Visitation 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the church. Private interment will take place in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit Memorial Garden. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
