Joseph J. O'Brien, 79, of Elgen Drive, Emmaus, died May 7, 2015. He was the husband of Margaret (Kwedar) O'Brien to whom he was married for 57 years. He was a son of the late John and Stella (Streisel) O'Brien.

He served in the Army and retired from Modern Plumbing & Heating, Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife; sisters, Mary Cummers and Maggie. He was predeceased by a brother, Bill and a sister, Anna Shaner.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. May 16 at the Zizelmann-Roche Funeral Home, 500 E. Broad St., Tamaqua.
