Jacqueline F. "Jackie" Scharnitz, 78, of Salisbury Township, died May 9, 2015, at home. She was the wife of the late Julius W. Scharnitz who died in 2012. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Melvin J. and Dorothy (Brader) Hoffert.
She was employed in the clean room at Western Electric and AT&T for 30 years until retiring.
She was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church.
She is survived by a son, Scott M. and his wife Maureen and their children James, Thomas and Brian; Donna L. and her husband Scott Moyer and their children Melissa and her husband Grant Shemon, Mandy and her husband Kevin Plott, Zachary; sisters, Diane Finley and Linda DeFanti; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Halle Plott.

Services will be held 11 a.m. May 13, at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, 18103. A viewing will be held one half hour before services in the church. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Allentown.
