At the Bath Borough Council meeting April 6 council passed a motion granting the farmers market to use Keystone Park at no charge.
The farmers market will open Friday, May 15, from 3 to 7 p.m.
There is additional parking on Green Street and Route 329. In addition, there is parking adjacent to the American Legion on Route 329, and two disabled parking spaces are available next to the vendor entrance on Green Street.
The farmers market is a project launched under the umbrella of Bath Business and Community Partnership. The aim of the market is to help breathe new life into downtown Bath, strengthen the local economy, give local farmers a venue to sell their produce and provide consumers with the opportunity to buy fresh and buy local.
The Bath Farmers Market was founded in 2009 by the BBCP, a community dedicated to the revitalization of Bath. The market is operated by a group of BBCP volunteers.
Originally the market began as an event to bring people to Bath so they could experience the borough. However, over the last six years, it has grown.
