Arlan R. Moser Sr.

Arlan R. Moser Sr., 95, of Coplay, died April 15, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospice-Inpatient Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Vivian J. (Weaver) Moser.

Born in Ruchsville, he was a son of the late Elmer J. and the late Anna ( Ruch) Moser.

He was a private in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a graduate of a South Whitehall Township school.

He was a foreman in the testing field, and then was in quality assurance for 40 years, for I.M.C. Chemical Group, formerly Trojan Powder Company, South Whitehall Township, until he retired in 1983.

He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Whitehall.

He was a member for 50 years and a master mason of F.& A.M. Porter Lodge 284, Catasauqua. He was a 32nd degree mason with the Lehigh Consistory, Valley of Allentown. He was a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Allentown Forest; the Rajah Shriners, Reading; and the Oddfellows, Jordan Lodge 192, Schnecksville.

He is survived by three sons, Arlan R. Jr. and his wife Donna of Allentown, Robert A. and his wife Sarah of Bethlehem Township, and Clair E. and his wife Ruth of Centerville, Ohio; two daughters, Elaine J. and her husband Donald Baer of Coplay and Carol A. and her husband Harold Merkel of Lenhartsville; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Aral Moser.
