Matthew Keith Clemens, 44, of Salisbury Township, died suddenly April 26, 2015, at St. Luke's University Health Network. He was the husband of Marie (Ford) Clemens for the past 15 years. Born in Sellersville, he was the son of Carol Clemens, of Coopersburg and Jon Clemens, of Center Valley.
He attended Palisades and Allentown Central Catholic High School, before graduating from Phelps Academy. He was a member of the wrestling team, placing fifth in statewide competition. A graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, he was a certified forklift operator.
He was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports, in particular, the Philadelphia Flyers.
He was an avid motor racing fan, who enjoyed attending and participating in races throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and abroad.
He is survived by his wife; mother; father; brother, Christopher and his wife Eva and niece Claire, of Waverly, N.Y.; sister, Melissa and her husband Ron Kratzer, of Allentown; mother-in-law, Mary Ford, of Bethlehem; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, as well as his beloved dog, Norton. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Newt and Nelda Clemens, Dorothea and Ralph Mollenhauer and Edward Arnold; uncle, Pat Arnold, cousin, Nate Clemens.
Arrangements were made by the Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
