Janice J. Eckhart, 80, of Salisbury Township, died April 30, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Marvin T. "Dutch" Eckhart who died Oct. 7, 2012. Born in Emmaus, she was one of seven children born to the late Edwin and Elsie (Hartzell) Fischer.

She worked as a fitter for Greif and other garment factories in the area for a number of years before retiring.

She was actively involved with the Salisbury Youth Association, having served as past president and vice president and was fondly known as the "Candy Lady."

She was a member of the Emmaus Fire Co. #3 Ladies Auxiliary and the South Allentown VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she assisted with making hoagies and loved playing bingo. She was an avid Phillies and Iron Pigs fan and enjoyed spending time at her home in Florida for ten years.

She is survived by sons, Glenn, Daryl L. and his wife Staci, all of Salisbury Township.; granddaughters, Maggie, Autumn and Danika.

The family will receive relatives and friends 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 6 at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, followed by a funeral service 6:30 p.m.
