Santa Marie Griffies, 57, of Emmaus, died April 2, 2015, in the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. She was the wife of John J. Griffies, IV.

Born in Camden, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Evelyn ( Fioravanti ) Pecca.

She was a locker and coat attendant at Lehigh Country Club, Allentown. Prior to that, she held administrative positions at The Guardian Life Insurance Company, Bethlehem and Mellon Bank, Philadelphia.

She was a member of the Church of St. Ann, Emmaus.

She taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown and was a member of the Legion of Mary. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Samantha Rose Howey; a grandson, Shane Wyatt Howey; siblings: Patty and her husband Zen Mikulski; Ralph Pecca; Gloria and her husband Kevin Fogerty and Rose and her husband Stephen Doherty; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
