Mary E. Toth

Mary E. Toth, of Lower Macungie Township, died April 10, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Walter W. Toth for 66 years. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary (Paukovits) Ertl.

She was an industrial plant nurse for Mack Trucks, Inc., retiring in 1976. She previously worked at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown State Hospital as assistant head nurse and Lehigh County Public Health Nursing Association.

She graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1943 and was a 1947 graduate of Elizabeth General Hospital School of Nursing, Elizabeth, N.J., and its Cadet Nurse Corps.

She was a founding member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Salisbury Township, Brookside Country Club and a founding member of the former Allentown Lioness Club.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Sandra M., of Woodstock, Md.; son, Richard W. and his wife Kathy, of Bensalem; grandchildren, Hilary Eanet, Ashley, Richard J.; great-granddaughter, Rylee Eanet; sister, Loretta Stubits, of Woodbury, N.J. and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. Thomas More Memorial Fund, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, 18103, or to a charity of your choice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held noon April 16 in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to noon in the church. Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home Allentown.
