Gockley Elementary School will hold a scholastic book fair Thursday, April 16, from 3:15 to 7 p.m.

The book fair will offer specially priced books and educational products, including new releases, award-winning titles, children's classics, interactive software, young adult books and current bestsellers from more than 10 publishers.

Parents may also purchase books online this year from April 11 to 20.

The first day of school for 2015-16 will be Monday, Aug. 31.

Gockley will hold twin day Tuesday, April 28.

PSSA testing will begin April 14 through 24.

The third marking period will end April 8. Report cards will be distributed April 20.

Spring picture day at Steckel Elementary School is scheduled for tomorrow.

All students will have their photos taken, but purchase is optional.

Make note that May 4 is a teacher professional development day.

The last day of school for students will now be Thursday, June 18.

Graduation remains June 12 at Stabler Arena on the Lehigh University campus.

Professional development days for teachers will be June 19, 22 and 23.
