Wendy M. Silfies, 32, of Northampton, died March 17, 2015, in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. She was the wife of Ryan K. Silfies for nine years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Robert L. and Cindy (Getz) Maikits of Northampton.

She was a 2001 graduate of Northampton High School and attended the dental hygienist program, Northampton Community College.

She worked for Dr. Shumar. She then worked at the Fairground Surgical, and then with Dr. Shampaine.

She attended First Baptist Church, Allentown.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a daughter, Emmalee Maikits, and a son, Lukas Silfies, both at home; two brothers, Joseph Getz and his companion Linda Keller of Northampton, and Robert Maikits Jr. and his companion Heather Jasper of Coplay; maternal grandmother, Shirley Heilman of Moore Township; mother and father-in-law; aunts, uncles; cousins; nieces; and nephews.
