Shirley A. Schantz, 73, of Coopersburg, died March 29, 2015, at Valley Manor Nursing Center, Coopersburg. She was the wife of Kenneth R. Schantz Sr.

Born in Hokendauqua, she was a daughter of the late William and Vera (Schoenberger) Bloom.

She was a member of the Fullerton Fire Company and the Ladies Auxilliary.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Brenda L. and her husband Richard J. Gercie of Easton; three sons, Kenneth R. Jr. and his companion Thomas Schuler of Northampton, Brian S. Sr. and his wife Dawn M. of Kempton, and George W. of Kempton; a brother, James and his wife Marie Bloom of Schnecksville; a sister, Sandra and her husband James Heintzleman of Bath; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Felicia, Jacqueline and Brian Jr.; and three great-grandchildren.

Services are private and will be at the convenience of the family.
