James R. Tumulty, 80, of Cresco and formerly of Bayonne, N.J., died March 18, 2015, at Westminster Village, Allentown. He was the husband of Agnes M. (Craig) Tumulty for 59 years.
Born in Jeffersonville, Ind., he was a son of the late Charles and Jane (Moore) Tumulty.
He was a U.S Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He worked at Western Union and the at Exxon, from which he retired in 1996. He then worked at the Skytop golf course.
He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He was a member of the Evans-Blitz American Legion Post 922.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Deborah Lintvedt and her fiance Charles Lorah of Northampton, and James and his wife Paula of Murray Hill, N.J.; five grandchildren, Melissa and her husband John Parham, Allison and Carly Lintvedt, and Abby and Ian Tumulty; three great-granddaughters, Olivia, Madeline and Eloise Parham; and a sister, Patricia Donnelly of Sayreville, N.J.
He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Peter Lintvedt; and three siblings, Jane Egerton and Charles and Donald Tumulty.
