George R. Kraynek Sr., 84, of Catasauqua, died March 25, 2015. He was the husband of the late Kathleen C. (Pascoe) Kraynek for 63 years.
Born in North Catasauqua, he was a son of the late John Kraynek and Margerat (Groman) Fassman.
He was a trackman for Central Railroad of New Jersey from 1949 to 1972. He worked for Whitehall Manor Construction for 10 years. He worked for Phoenix Forging Company, Catasauqua, from which he retired after 20 years.
He is survived by a son, George Jr. and his wife Susan of Kutztown; two daughters, Barbara and her husband Larry Ritter of Whitehall and Kathleen and her husband Anthony Vaglica of Silver Spring, Md.; a brother, Joseph Fassman of Allentown; a sister, Gail Kelly of Fremont, Ind.; six grandchildren, Jason Kraynek of Chicago, Ill., Andrew and his wife K'La Kraynek of Fremont, Calif., Adam and his wife Cyrena Huffort of Coplay, Ryan Huffort of Coplay, and Tara and Anthony Vaglica of Silver Spring, Md.; and two great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Nathan Huffort of Coplay.
Contributions may be made to an animal rescue organization of one's choice.
