Frank Astl Jr., 90, of Northampton, died Feb. 22, 2015. He was the husband of the late Bertha (Faustner) Astl.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Seier) Astl.
He was a farmer for all of his life. He worked for Modern Slacks for 17 years and for the former Universal Atlas Cement Company until he retired in 1980.
He was a member of Queenship of Mary church.
He was a past president of the St. Elizabeth Credit Union from 1992-2000 and was on the board of directors for 12 years.
He is survived by a son, Frank Carl and his wife Diane, and a daughter, Marie and her husband David Novogratz, all of Northampton; five grandchildren, Pam, Paula, Thomas, Kate and Kelly; and two great-grandchildren, Lindsay and Kelly.
