St. Nicholas Catholic Church on Route 946 in Berlinsville will host a series of spring art classes.

The lessons will be given by area resident and art teacher Nancy Steinmetz.

Sessions will be held in the social hall on Wednesdays beginning April 15 and will run for six weeks.

A class for grades 4 through 8 will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The class for teens and adults will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Many lovely baskets will be raffled off at the 17th annual spring basket social at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive (Route 248), Cherryville, on Friday, April 10.

Doors open for the walk-in social at 4 p.m., and the drawing will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Winners need not be present and will be notified via phone the same evening.

Delicious homemade food, baked goods and other refreshments will also be available.

The proceeds will be divided equally between the Northampton Area Food Bank and the Hope Lutheran Church Good Samaritan Fund.

Canned goods and nonperishable items will also be collected for the Northampton Area Food Bank.
